Funeral services will be held Monday for Shannon Stone, the Brownwood firefighter who died less than an hour after he tumbled headfirst over a rail out of the seats in left field at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington during Thursday night's game.

He fell about 20 feet onto concrete behind the outfield wall.

Stone's funeral will be held at First United Methodist Church in Brownwood, a town about 150 miles from Arlington. The 39-year-old Stone had been a firefighter there for 18 years.

Visitation is scheduled Sunday night at Davis Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood.

Stone was at Thursday night's game with his six-year-old son, Cooper, when he fell while trying to catch a ball tossed by Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton.
