FRISCO -- A Frisco family that lost their pet dog on the Fourth of July last year was reunited with the missing pooch Tuesday after sevens months and a helping hand from Collin County animal control.
Dora, a German Shepherd mix, jumped over a fence as fireworks exploded on Independence Day.
The O'Bryan family searched high and low, and posted pictures of the dog online, but didn't turn up any leads on the family pet.
Tuesday morning, a Collin County animal control officer picked up the dog in east McKinney, about 20 miles from where she went missing. A microchip identified the dog as Dora.
Kery O'Bryan drove to the animal shelter on Tuesday for an emotional reunion with the lost dog.
