FORT WORTH - A U.S. Post Office in Fort Worth was evacuated for several hours as authorities investigated a suspicious package reported around 10:45 a.m. in the 4600 block of East Rosedale Street.
The FBI, police and BATF joined the Fort Worth Fire Bomb Squad to investigate what appeared to be a small, long box propped up against the office building. A robot was brought in to scan the package and eventually detonated the box shortly after 1 p.m.
The detonation caused a small explosion with no injuries or damage to the building.
It has not been revealed what, if anything, was inside the package.
The case was the third investigated report of a suspicious package in recent months at the post office.
