FORT WORTH -- Police arrested a 24-year-old man for the murder of his girlfriend's child Friday after the 2-year-old was found dead Saturday night.

Anthony Segora died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen, the medical examiner said Monday.

Erik Delarosa was arrested Friday by the Crimes Against Children Unit and charged with murder. He is currently in the Tarrant County Jail with a bond set at $250,000.

The boy’s mother was at work and her boyfriend was babysitting, said MedStar department spokeswoman Sharron Neal.

Delarosa was jailed on Saturday on an unrelated warrant.

The boy’s two siblings -- a three-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl --  are each in foster care and are “doing well,” said Child Protective Services spokeswoman Shari Pulliam.
