FORT WORTH — Police are looking for the driver of a speeding red Ford Mustang that struck and killed a pedestrian late Friday night.

Emanual Hernandez, 41, was critically injured as he was crossing in the 100 block of Riverside Drive around 11:30 p.m. Friday. He died early Sunday morning at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Witnesses told police they saw Hernandez being struck and carried about 150 feet before he fell from the Mustang. The driver reportedly stopped momentarily, backed up, and then drove around the victim and left the scene.

A witness attempted to follow the fleeing driver, but lost sight of the car on Airport Freeway.
