FORT WORTH — Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price announced on her Facebook page Saturday that she "took a spill" while riding her bicycle earlier in the day.
"I'm okay aside from some scrapes, a concussion and a broken collarbone," she wrote. "Ouch! Fortunately, my helmet stayed on. It could've been worse."
Price admonished citizens of Fort Worth to always ride with a helmet.
Price, who was elected mayor one year ago, is described as an avid bike rider in her official biography on the city's website.
