DALLAS — As torrential rain fell on North Texas, rescuers responded to several high water calls on Sunday night. One was at the intersection of Bannock Avenue and South Lamar Street in South Dallas.

Dallas police and Dallas Fire-Rescue units found four cars stuck in the flooded street.

We saw about four officers helping a family get out of their car after stalling out while driving on Lamar.

The family couldn't get out on their own because they didn't want to leave behind a 20-year-old who is handicapped.

No one was injured, and the water dissipated quickly. Some motorists were able to drive away in their cars a short time later.
