DART conducted a test run of its new Orange Line light rail service Monday.

The expansion will eventually let passengers travel from downtown Dallas to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The first section runs five miles between Bachman Station and the Irving Convention Center. That branch is scheduled to open at the end of July.

Monday's run was to check train movements and logistics.

The Orange Line is set to reach D/FW by 2014.
