HURST - Some Tarrant County College students had just finished their finals when a fire broke out Saturday afternoon on the Hurst campus.

The fire started in the studio of the Radio and Television Broadcasting building on the Northeast Campus.

Witnesses said smoke could be seen billowing from the doors.

"I come out and the whole building is on fire," said Diamond Mitchem, a student. "I asked my teacher, 'What's going on?' He said the studio's set on fire. Smoke [was] coming out everywhere. We had just gotten out of class like 10 minutes ago."

There has been no word on what started the fire.

School officials said it's too early to speculate on the amount of damage and how it may affect next semester's classes.
