MINERAL WELLS -- The music, the flags flying half-staff, and salutes -- all of this for a wife, mom, friend, and beloved fire chief.

The community of Mineral Wells truly showed up in support of Chief Robin Allen.

As the American flag was delicately folded with care, her kids watched, and accepted this token of respect along with a few private words.

“It's obvious how much she meant to this community. She was the pillar of the community for years, her family,” said Palo Pinto Sherriff Ira Mercer.

Local sports teams showed up in jerseys to honor a woman who supported them.

“She supported every kid in this community with what they did," said Mineral Wells High School Baseball Coach Brett Barrick. "Whether her kids were playing or not, she showed up and they wanted to support her today. It's a tremendous loss for our community, but we've all been blessed by knowing her.”

“This is the last call for Fire Chief Robin Allen,” one speaker at the service said.

A woman whose life will leave behind a beautiful legacy.

Allen is survived by three children and a husband.
