DALLAS - The City of Dallas has been keeping an eye on the Trinity River as heavy storms led to flooding and high waters.

The river was expected to crest Thursday morning. After the pouring down of rain across North Texas, the water could be seen about 300 yards before the actual banks of the river.

However, the water was still well within the levees. There were earlier concerns that south of the Cadillac Heights area there could be levee problems. But, Thursday morning, that too appeared to be okay.

Meanwhile, the city continues to have a crew monitoring the situation.
