DALLAS — Two people who were apparently trying to fill their car's gasoline tank on a busy off-ramp were struck by another vehicle Sunday night.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner's office said Margaret Wilson, 22, died. Another woman, identified on social media as Candice Anderson, was seriously hurt.

Police said the accident happened at the Knox-Henderson exit from southbound North Central Expressway shortly before 9 o'clock. The driver who struck the women told investigators that traffic made it impossible to see the victims before they were hit.

No arrests were made.

According to a police report, the driver who struck the women said another vehicle in front of him blocked his view down the road. When that vehicle changed lanes, the driver didn't have enough time to react.

At this point, the driver who hit the two women is not facing charges.

A total of three vehicles were involved in the crash, and the exit was shut down during the police investigation.
