FARMERS BRANCH — Farmers Branch wants to bring its controversial immigration ordinance back to life.

The city has asked for a re-hearing by all 10 members of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.

The Farmers Branch ordinance would require renters to prove they are in the country legally.

The measure been struck down at every level by judges who ruled that immigration enforcement is a federal — not a municipal — matter.
