ARLINGTON — There is new financial help for the family of a Texas Rangers fan who died in a fall at the Ballpark last Thursday.

For each fan who attended Sunday afternoon's game, Dairy Queen donated $1 to the Shannon Stone Memorial Fund.

The Brownwood firefighter was trying to catch a ball for his six-year-old son when he fell over the outfield railing to his death.

Official attendance at Sunday's game was 33,834.

Visitation for Stone was Sunday evening at the Davis Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood, where he was a veteran firefighter.

Stone's funeral is set for 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Brownwood.
