FORT WORTH -- Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief sported new colors as he paid off a bet. He showed up at Tuesday night's City Council meeting wearing a bright blue Boise State jersey and cap.

Moncrief had made a bet with Boise, Idaho Mayor David Bieter on the winner of the Fiesta Bowl, a game that pitted two undefeated teams: Texas Christian University and Boise State.

Boise State won.

Moncrief said even though TCU lost, it was great to see how the city supported the team.

Many fans wore Horned Frog purple ahead of games throughout the season, and Fort Worth even dyed the Trinity River purple.
