DALLAS - Newly-released search warrants show the FBI was looking for Commissioner John Wiley Price's dealings with nearly a dozen people and almost two dozen businesses when they raided his home and county office last month.

The warrants request documents and financial records from a "who's who" of South Dallas political players, including consultant Kathy Nealy, Sen. Royce West and businessman Pettis Norman.

Agents were also after records of Price's dealings with companies like Wal-Mart, AT&T and Ross Perot Jr's Hillwood Inc.

"They're looking for bribery, public corruption," said Billy Ravkind, Price's attorne.

"I hope they're paying us a bribe, because I'll make a big fee," he joked.

Ravkind said Price has never taken a bribe and that nothing in the warrants concerned him.

He said what federal agents will find is that the long-time county commissioner has plenty of supporters and has had personnal relationships with "very successful women."

"I don't think [the FBI] cares about sex, but that's what they're going to find out at the end of the day," Ravkind said. "I'll save them the time."

Warrants show agents were looking for documents concerning Price's association with the annual festival KwanzaaFest.

They also searched for records concerning an African art shop called Millennium 2000, which was raided last month.

West was quick to respond to his name being amongst the group, releasing a statement to News 8.

"I understand that my name has been mentioned along with other prominent African Americans," the statement read. "I have no idea what they are after, but they are going to do what they are going to do."

Price has not been charged with any crime, but documents show the federal government is clearly building their case.
