FORT WORTH – A 71-year-old woman suspected of driving while intoxicated crossed over her lane and slammed head-on into an off duty Fort Worth City Marshall Officer Wednesday evening.

None of the injuries are life-threatening.

At about 7:20 p.m., Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Ofc. Daniel Segura said the marshall was traveling westbound in the 9000 block of N. Normandale when a grey four-door vehicle weaved into oncoming traffic and hit him.

Responders performed field sobriety tests on the elderly driver, who was arrested for DWI and taken to the hospital with injuries that are not critical. The officer is also hospitalized. Segura said he's "conscious and responding" while receiving care.

No one has been identified. Segura said there was no other property damage from the collision.
