Discount grocery chain Aldi holding job fair today in Dallas

Discount grocer Aldi is hosting a hiring fair for cashiers until 11 a.m. today.

Managers are taking applications at the soon-to-be-opened Aldi store at 5828 Abrams Road (Abrams and Northwest Highway).

The German-owned grocery chain, one of the largest and fastest growing in the world, is launching at least 27 stores in the Dallas area this year. The first 11 of those are to open next Thursday.

The company is looking for cashiers with a high school diploma or the equivalent. Previous retail experiencee is preferred.

The job pays $10 an hour. Cashiers must be available to work any hours between 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., for 20 to 40 hours a week.
