Denton police issue Silver Alert for missing senior

A 70-year-old woman has disappeared in Denton, and police are asking for your help in locating her.

Authorities said Nita Watkins — who has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment — was last seen at the Downtown Denton Transit Center at 604 East Hickory Street.

A Silver Alert was issued because her disappearance may pose a credible threat to her own health and safety.

Watkins is 5'-6" tall, weighs 220 lbs., and has gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with an image of Winnie the Pooh. She has a hump on her back and uses a cane to walk.
