DALLAS – While icy roads remain a possibility in North Texas Wednesday, the worst of the winter weather is over for the workweek.
Freezing ice built up on bridges, overpasses and side streets overnight, however wind and sand took care of much of the trouble spots. As the afternoon begins, temperatures will still be bitterly cold; considering wind chill, the temperature will feel like it's in the 20s.
The mostly-sunny afternoon sky will give way to a partly cloudy evening complemented by light winds. Wednesday evening's low is 23º.
North Texans will wake up Thursday to mostly sunny skies and a high of 48º. Expect winds between 10 and 20 miles per hour. The Thursday night skies will be mostly clear. The low then is 38º.
On Friday, the clouds come in, bringing a 30 percent chance of scattered showers throughout the areas. With a northern wind between 10 and 15 miles per hour, the high will be 51º.
