FORT WORTH - Drivers in Fort Worth can expect delays on the Chisholm Trail Parkway today.
The closure is part of construction for the 27-mile toll road that will extend from downtown Fort Worth to Cleburne. Several lanes and road closures began at 9 a.m.
Drivers can expect detours along 15th Avenue, Old University Drive and Vickery Boulevard where they intersect with Interstate 30.
It is the beginning of construction that will continue into 2014.
