It was a deadly holiday weekend at North Texas lakes.
Rescue crews pulled two men from Lewisville Lake Monday afternoon. George Rodriguez, 33, went missing Friday after falling off a double-decker party boat he was on with family.
The other drowning victim is believed to be a Frisco resident who was tubing with his family on Sunday morning.
Neither man was wearing a life jacket.
At Lake Worth, Fort worth firefighters said 24-year-old Juan Zacarias died trying to save his 16-year-old nephew, Javier Zacarias on Sunday evening.
The teen had slipped off an underwater ledge as he and his uncle were wading about 75 yards from shore.
Both of them disappeared under the water.
"They grabbed each other like a lock, and they were holding on to each other with their rosaries to their chest," said family member Maritza Zacarias. "And when they took them out, they took them out together."
The uncle and nephew were very close and loved to play soccer together.
And at Joe Pool Lake, two children were hit by a boat while tubing on Sunday evening.
An eight-year-old remains in critical condition, and a four-year-old is listed as stable.
It was not known if any charges will be filed against the operator of the boat.
