Shingles on an old home in the historic Swiss Avenue district were severely damaged by hail Wednesday in Dallas.

DALLAS - Dallas is opening a temporary permit office to help people whose homes were damaged in the storms last week.
The office will be set up at the Lakewood Library located on Worth Street.
Staffers will help with roofing permits. They will also help those who live in historic or conservations districts with proper replacement materials.
The office will be open tomorrow through Friday.
