DALLAS -- The city of Dallas is not waiting to take over land next to the Omni Convention Center Hotel.
Just a week after a three judge panel ruled the property is worth $182,000 the city has written a check and taken the fence down.
Owner Carolyn McClain has not decided if she will challenge the city's offer.
The convention center hotel is set to open in just a few days.
