DALLAS — Police have released the 911 calls from panicked customers after a gun went off inside a Dallas Walmart store last month.

"Yes, uh... we are at this Walmart and everybody is going crazy because they say somebody is shooting with a gun in here like crazy," one caller said.

"Everybody ran to the back and everybody started getting out the exits from the back of Walmart," said another.

Police said 23-year-old Todd Canady was reaching for his wallet in the checkout line when his gun went off on July 23.

A bullet grazed his leg and fragments hit two children and one adult, who were not seriously hurt.

Canady —  who had a concealed handgun license — was charged with evading arrest because he ran from the store at 9301 Forest Lane after the gun discharged.
