The Texas Department of Public Safety has added a convicted rapist from Dallas to its list of the most wanted sex offenders in the state.
Willie L. Sullivan violated his parole by failing to register as a sex offender, the state says. Sullivan, 57, was first arrested in 1981. He's since racked up charges for larceny and burglary and in 1985, he raped a 29-year-old woman at knifepoint.
He served a 10 year sentence following that conviction and was ordered to register for life a sex offender. In September 2010, Sullivan violated the terms of his parole. On April 11, 2012, the state says he failed to register as a sex offender. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office then issued a warrant for his arrest.
Sullivan, who has previously worked a welder, heavy equipment mechanic, cement finisher and laborer, is considered armed and dangerous. He's 5'7'' and weighs 166 pounds. He has "Sonya" tattooed on his left chest. There are scars on his left forearm and over his left and and eye brow.
He also has a scar on a finger of his right hand from an operation following a gunshot. In addition to aggravated sexual assault, he's previously been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, shoplifting, possession of marijuana and escape.
His last known address was in the 3600 block of Pacesetter Dr. in southern Dallas. The state has issued a $3,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Should you see Sullivan, you're asked to call 911. You can also submit a tip online.
