Store clerk killed
DALLAS — A clerk at a South Oak Cliff convenience store was shot and killed in a robbery attempt late Monday night, police said.
The victim was leaving Nathans Food Beer and Wine Store in the 700 block of Fawn Ridge Drive with another clerk around 11:15 p.m. when they were approached by a group of men and a fight broke out.
The store employee who was shot was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. No name was released.
It was not immediately clear whether the gun used in the shooting belonged to the assailants or the victims.
Detectives said they were looking for as many as four suspects, but no descriptions were available.
