DALLAS — The rite of Spring called Dallas Blooms begins next weekend at the Dallas Arboretum. The theme this year is "It's a Fairy Tale World."
The Arboretum, on the shore of White Rock Lake, is one of the largest display gardens in North America. Dallas Blooms features 500,000 blooming bulbs including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and 100,000 pansies.
For the kids, there will be seven Fairy Tale Castles based on children's fairy tales. They're all built by local architects.
The Arboretum recently received a huge compliment from Southern Living magazine. The magazine said, "Its world-class tulip show is the best spot this side of Holland to see beautiful flowers."
Dallas Blooms begins March 5 and runs through April 10.
