DALLAS — DART will reopen its Union Station light rail stop on Friday, after having been closed 45 days for construction.

Workers shut down the stop last month to modify the platforms for new rail cars that are lower to the floor.

The upgrade will make it easier for people to board the trains with wheelchairs, strollers and bicycles.

DART is overhauling stations across its system.
