Famed country music star Randy Travis has been released from Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano and moved to a physical therapy facility, a representative said Wednesday.
His release comes two weeks after he was “stabilized, awake and alert” after nearly dying from congestive heart failure. He also underwent brain surgery to relieve pressure from a sudden stroke while in the hospital.
The news of his release came from Kirk Webster with Webster & Associates, a PR firm representing the artist.
“Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery,” said Travis’ fiancée Mary Davis in a prepared statement.
Official updates on his condition will be posted to this website, Webster notes.
