Copper thieves target Tarrant County power lines

FORT WORTH — Copper thieves have been busy in the Fort Worth area.

Oncor reported wires on utility poles being cut in at least three areas.

At some locations the wire had been stolen. In other areas, the thieves had cut the lines and may have planned to come back for the wire.

Oncor says the crimes caused more than $20,000 in damage and stolen supplies.
