DALLAS -- Comic Con has grown from an event appealing only to the die-hard comic fan, to one that now celebrates every pop culture phenomenon.
That popularity is why the event was moved to Dallas this year from Irving. It moved there from Richardson in 2011 because of its popularity, and the event tripled its attendance in 2013.
Over the next three days, as many as 50,000 people are expected to pack the Dallas Convention Center. It has one million square feet of space, perfect for the many celebrity panels, exhibits and vendors.
Advanced ticket holders were let into the event Friday before the doors opened at 4 p.m.
You can still buy tickets online here or at the door.
