ARLINGTON — Some good news for Arlington residents and for Mid-cities commuters: The Collins Street bridge over Interstate 30 reopens on Monday.

The span was shut down five months ago  to undergo a $166 million renovation and to accomodate the widening of the highway. The reopening comes three months ahead of the original schedule.

Two northbound and two southbound lanes will be available to traffic as work continues on pedestrian lanes and cleanup activities.

The overpass permits easier access to the new Cowboys Stadium, Six Flags Over Texas and Rangers Ballpark.
