CEDAR HILL — Cedar Hill detectives arrested a woman Monday in connection with the murder of a teacher and coach nearly three years ago.
Judy Bell was found shot in the chest in her home on February 28, 2008.
Her partner, Seidah Vaughn, told police a stranger broke into their home and shot Bell.
Based on new information, investigators now think it was Vaughn who pulled the trigger. They presented the evidence to a Dallas County grand jury last week and received an indictment.
Vaughn was arrested Monday in Oklahoma City where she was teaching high school.
Bell had been a teacher at Permenter Middle School in Cedar Hill.
