Two men drowned Saturday evening in unrelated incidents in Tarrant County.

Rescue crews were called to the Casino Beach area at Lake Worth around 5:30 Saturday evening after witnesses reported seeing a boat capsize. A Fort Worth Fire Department spokesperson said divers searched the water about 15 minutes before they recovered the body of 50-year-old Donald Kell of Searcy, Arkansas.

Divers had problems due to limited visibility and because they became tangled in fishing lines.

Kell was at the lake with family and friends, who said he went into the water in a rented kayak to reset a fishing line. He was about 400 feet from the shore when he fell out of the boat into about eight feet of water.

A family friend tried to swim out and rescue him, but was unable to reach him.

In Fort Worth, 23 miles to the east, a 27-year-old man died in the swimming pool of the Sevonia Avion apartments at 14500 Sovereign Road, according to a MedStar spokesman. No identity was released. MedStar said it is possible the man had a seizure while swimming.
