DALLAS –– A robbery victim is recovering at Baylor Medical Center after a business owner found him shot in his vehicle Thursday night in south Dallas.
At about 10:05 p.m., Syed Sajid was locking up his convenience store at Elam Road and C.F. Hawn Freeway when he heard gunshots nearby. He spotted an unknown suspect sprinting from the scene and another man slumped over a steering wheel of a car. He was shot in his stomach and left forearm, according to a police report.
Sajid called police as the man fell in and out of consciousness, the report states. The victim was taken to Baylor Medical Center, where he was admitted and stable. The man was too wounded to tell officers what was stolen from him.
The report says a detective has canvassed the scene for evidence and is investigating. The suspect has not been identified.
