A North Texas Boy Scout troop is struggling to figure out how to make a long-planned camping trip to Big Bend National Park after someone stole all their gear.

A trailer belonging to Dallas Troop 861 was swiped from the scoutmaster's yard .

It was found in Pleasant Grove, however, more than $1,000 in equipment stashed inside, was stolen from the trailer.

The contents included camping and cooking gear.

The Boy Scouts are still planning their trip to Big Bend National Park departing on December 27th.
