A federal grand jury indicted a Keller Boy Scout leader for one count of possession of child pornography.

Scott Denney is accused of having sexual pictures and videos of children as young as infants on his computer.

The Boy Scouts say they removed Denney as an assistant Scout leader in April as soon as they learned he was under investigation.

According to Executive Director Dan Clifton, Denney has been registered with the Scouts for 11 years, and was most recently working with Troop 1910, sponsored by First United Methodist Church of Keller.

Clifton said there is no indication that the alleged pornography had anything to do with Scouts.

Denney's trial is scheduled for August 16.  If he is convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
