DALLAS -- A bomb scare cleared the area around the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas on Friday.
A guest was apparently acting strange around 3:40 a.m., and he told officers that someone had placed a bomb inside his hotel room "because of some secret that he had," police said.
The man had already asked hotel employees to take his things to his car in the parking garage. Police found the box in question there and called the explosive ordinance unit to check things out.
Police say no hazardous or explosive devices were found. Around 8:20 a.m. the area was cleared and roads were reopened.
The man was taken to Green Oaks Hospital to be evaluated.
