FORT WORTH — All was quiet Sunday night at the Occupy Fort Worth protest following some commotion 24 hours earlier.
Five people were arrested Saturday for trying to set up tents on the sidewalk. Two others were cited by police.
The protesters set up in an area near Burnett Park. Police took their tents down as demonstrators let their voices be heard.
The five who were arrested range in age from 22 to 41. They are all charged with interferring with a police officer.
Bryan Fredrick, one of those arrested in Fort Worth, headed east on Sunday to give advice to Occupy Dallas campers.
"Don't be afraid of those police, because you are in the right," he said. "You are standing up for a federal law that supersedes city ordinance."
The members of the Fort Worth group spent 14 hours in jail.
