Around 60 aircraft at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport remained out of service Thursday morning after hail severely pelted the planes during the storms Tuesday, reported Andrea Huguley, a D/FW spokeswoman, in a phone interview with WFAA.
The out-of-service planes are the reason cancellations continued into Thursday, she said.
D/FW canceled 323 flights today, which was down from the over 400 flights canceled Wednesday.
"We know this is so frustrating for our customers when this happens," Huguley said. "... If you have a flight in or out of Dallas/Fort Worth today, please check AA.com to see if your flight is still going."
Huguley said crews are working to inspect the planes and get them back into service. She said more cancellations are expected over the next few days.
