DALLAS - A reorganization of the human resources department at the Dallas Independent School District means around 50 employees will have to reapply if they want to continue working within the district, read a statement released by DISD Thursday afternoon.
Affected employees can either reapply to new positions created by the restructuring or other open DISD positions.
The new department will be called Human Capital Management.
"Human Capital Management is being designed to maximize efficiency, expedite hiring and build out a top of the line recruitment and selection process," the statement read. "This is the first step in a long term effort to ensure that we have a great teacher in every classroom."
