ARLINGTON — An Arlington teen is hoping to text her way to glory.
On Monday, Kendall Joplin attempted to break the Guinness Book of World Records mark for fast texting on a touch screen device.
This paragraph has to be typed faster than 35.54 seconds to break the mark:
“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”
Kendall thinks she beat the previous mark by 7 seconds.
Her documentation on Monday's attempt will be sent in to Guinness; she'll have to wait to see if the organization certifies her time.
