DALLAS — So you can't afford tickets to the 2010 NBA All-Star Game in Arlington next Sunday? Try the NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Dallas Convention Center instead.

You are more likely to get a shot at meeting NBA and WNBA superstars for a fraction of the price of scoring a seat at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

Crews were busy Monday installing 11 acres of All-Star excitement at the Dallas Convention Center, giving you a chance to get closer than ever before to the All-Star action.

Some of the biggest names in the game will be signing free autographs, and also offering tips to help you brush up on your skills.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children aged 12 and under. Seniors can also score a $12 admission.

The NBA All-Star Jam Session runs from Thursday through Saturday.

There are also other events in Dallas leading up to the All-Star game.

On Friday night, the American Airlines Center hosts the rookie challenge and youth jam. The same venue will be home to NBA All-Star Saturday Night, where fans can witness the three-point shootout and the dunk contest. Tickets to those events start at $200.
