Three North Texas airports win federal grants

Improvements are coming to three regional airports in North Texas.

The Texas Transportation Commission has approved $4.5 million for Collin County Regional, Terrell Municipal and Mid-Way Regional airports.

The largest chunk of money goes to Terrell Airport. It will get $2.1 million for a new terminal building and pavement improvements.

Mid-Way Regional near Waxahachie gets $1 million for a renovated terminal building.

Collin County Regional Airport in McKinney receives $1.4 million for a new air traffic control tower.
