FORT WORTH — The U.S. Geology Service reported a 2.6 magnitude earthquake north of Eagle Mountain.

The epicenter of the quake was about two miles north of Eagle Mountain Lake in Tarrant County.

No damage was reported.

Eagle Mountain is located 16.8 miles north of Fort Worth.

Saturday, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake was detected about eight miles northwest of Azle. The day before that, the USGS recorded a 2.4 magnitude quake also around the Azle area. The quakes were two of six detected in North Texas last week.

On March 10, the USGS recorded another 2.7 magnitude earthquake in northwest Johnson County. Two weeks prior to that incident, three quakes ranging from 2.4 to 2.7 magnitude were recorded in Ellis County.

The largest earthquake recorded by the USGS in Texas was a 5.8 near Valentine in Jeff Davis County in West Texas.
