FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A worker has died in an industrial accident at a North Texas water reclamation site.

Officials with the Fort Worth Water Department say an employee of a waste hauling company died Friday at the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility.

Spokeswoman Mary Gugliuzza says the worker with Liquid Environmental Solutions was delivering a load of liquid food waste when the accident happened. She says there were no witnesses. An employee making rounds discovered spilled waste product and notified another worker, leading to discovery of the victim.

Gugliuzza says officials were unable to resuscitate the person, whose name wasn't immediately released. The treatment plant wasn't damaged. Further information on the accident wasn't immediately released.

Fort Worth police are helping investigate.

Company officials did not immediately return messages for comment Saturday.
