FORT WORTH - Two people were killed in a crash that shut down part of Interstate 30 Monday morning in Fort Worth.
Fort Worth police say drivers called 911 after seeing a vehicle heading in the wrong direction on eastbound Interstate 30. One motorist estimated the black sedan was moving at 100 mph. The speeding car eventually slammed into a two-door coupe near the Beach Street exit.
The drivers in both vehicles were killed.
Authorities haven't immediately identified the victims. The medical examiner's office also will be looking at whether medical issues contributed to the crash.
