KELLER — Keller police and fire officials are investigating the death of a woman in a burning residence late Monday afternoon.
The incident was reported shortly before 5 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of Cedarwood Drive.
Keller police told News 8 the victim's husband came home, opened the door, and found the house filled with smoke. A short time later, firefighters found the woman dead near the breakfast nook.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as Kelli Pruet-Hundt, 51.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but police said it does not appear to have been a case of arson.
Over the weekend, there were other fatal fires in Cedar Hill and Fort Worth with a total of five fatalities.
