A local University Interscholastic League committee has cleared Euless Trinity High School football coaches of any wrongdoing in connection with a News 8 investigation.

Our cameras caught several Trinity Trojan football coaches and players practicing with Southlake Carroll's football team this summer in apparent violation of UIL off-season practice rules.

On Wednesday, the District 6-5A Executive Committee met to discuss possible sanctions against Trinity. They instead voted unanimously that the video evidence was inconclusive.

Committee chairman Joe Barnett offered no clarification of the ruling following the vote.

"We discussed everything; it was in executive session," Barnett said. "I'm not at liberty to discuss what was discussed in executive session."

News 8 contacted Trinity again on Wednesday asking them to explain their coaches' presence at a summer practice; they again declined.
